Thirteen Things about Eve
1. I am 24 years old but I feel 50.
2. I am engaged to be married in December…and very nervous and exited!
3. I work from home, blogging, telecommuting, and as a medical records retriever for Parameds.
4. This is my first Thursday 13 post!
5. I am a geek, I am constantly adding new plugins and ’stuff’ to my blogs and browsers!
.
6. I am very self conscious. Even online, at message boards, I feel like I am the thread killer sometimes, I can post something and somehow it either kills the very active thread or is completely ignored LOL, I think about it too much, when really, what I said was probably just fine and NO ONE HATES ME…. or do they???
7. Confession – this is my 3rd marriage. But this time we have been together 3 years opposed to the previous two that I married after 6 months! I finally learned my lesson!
8. I love blogging, and I am trying very hard to ‘come out of my shell’ through it, it is really nice knowing people read and care.
9. I am sorta anti-social, not by choice, it just happened, somehow, between moving a 2 years ago and only working from home, I literally have no real friends. I dont go out at night because we have no money, and I dont know anyone because I work at home and dont go out LOL.
10. Our wedding will be filled with my fiancee’s family and friends, due to circumstances I cant discuss right now, (I’m not that far out of my shell) my family will not be attending my wedding, and because I have no ‘real’ friends my ’side’ of the church will be completely empty. (Depressing huh?)
11. Even with all of that, I am completely happy with my decision, I love my fiancee and luckily his family is in love with me and they are wonderful, I couldn’t be any luckier.
12. I hate to shave my legs.
13. I actually love being a housewife, even though I hate cleaning, it is nice having the freedom to work when I want to.

Loves ya baby!

I can relate:
#5: I’m a geek too… It’s what I do for a living!
#6: I also fear I’m a thread killer… Maybe we need a thread killer anonymous?
#10: Sounds like “Kill Bill” movies… are you sure you’re not a secret assassin? :)
#12: Me too!
Have a good one!
welcome to the tt!!!
i played when it was still very small, only about 20 people or so, it’s grown to be something huge.
i have no idea how to do those plug ins, i really need to learn how, but it scares me, so i don’t.
Happy first TT! I remember my first. Now i’m on #10…not that i’ve been in it for long, but it seems like I just started. its fun!
I’m gonna be 50 in a couple months. Trust me you don’t feel that bad. I sure wouldn’t wanna go back to 24.
Happy TT!
3rd time’s a charm, right? And I hate to shave too…yucka.
congrats on your upcoming wedding, and sure, feel free to “steal” the idea for next week
thanks for stopping by!
Having been married twice and far away from my family, I feel some of your pain. But congrats on your marriage…may it last forever!
Happy TT!
Congratulations on your engagement. best of luck in your marriage… my suggestions is not to seat ’sides’ in the church — that way, it’s like one big family.
I hate shaving my legs too! :)
congratulations on your engagement! and great going on your first tt! mine’s up! ;)
Welcome to Thursday Thirteen. Great first post. Wishing you all the best as your wedding approaches.
Welcome to TT. I am only on #3, but it has been fun so far.
I am jealous that you can do the plug in things. I can’t even figure out how to make Mr. Linky work!
Congratulations on your future wedding.
I linked to you from my TT 13 Stupid Things that really annoy me
Great first TT.
Have a most wonderful wedding!
Mine is up! Please stop by http://www.thechristopherfamily.blogspot.com to vote for our daughters name!!!
Welcome to Thursday Thirteen. I hope you will continue.
Congratulations on your wedding. Sorry that your side will be empty. Just imagine your blogging friends sitting there.
Thanks for stopping by my T13.
Great first TT. It sounds like I could have written a lot of those myself.
1. I’m 26 and sometimes I feel 50, sometimes 17…it all depends on the day.
10. My friend got married in June, and had the same problem. I suggested not having an assigned side…let the guests sit where ever they want. That’s what they did and it worked out great.
Congrats on the wedding. I hope to walk down the aisle again someday too. :-)
great list! welcome to tt!
#8, 9, and 12 are so me!
Welcome to TT and thanks for visiting mine.
I’m adding you to my blogroll because I am a geek/designer in training and can use all the help I can get!
My parents didn’t come to my wedding because my family is seriously messed up. I only had a few aunts and uncles and my sister plus my friends. My hubby has 9 brothers and sisters who all have 3-4 children each so we didn’t divide the seating up by groom and bride.
Hey, this is my first T13, too. ;-)
Congratulations on the upcoming wedding and for joining the TT list.
It’s nice to have another member in the group! you’ll love it here! Thanks for sharing bits about yourself with us.
Happy Thursday!
Welcome to your first TT! And congrats on your wedding!! How exciting! I posted slogans on my blog, how many can you figure out??
Welcome to TT!
Hope this helps you come out of your on-line shell. :)
wow, this is alot of comments! thanks everyone! I am trying to go through everyones, it may take me a bit, but I will get there LOL!
Wow, maybe we can start some sort of support group combining 5, 6, and 12?
“Thread-killin’ Blog-Tweakin’ Anti-Leg-Shavin’ Geeks Anon”?
Welcome to TT! Come by and visit!
Ok, I want your job!
As for your wedding problem, I had some issues family and friend wise myself. Plus it would have been a haul, so to compensate, we mixed our family and friends together behind us so my side wasnt only one row.
Welcome to the TT world! Great first list. :)
Thanks for visiting my TT!
Awww…man I missed Thursday Thirteen! Ack! Well, I came up with another idea…how about Freaky Friday! Here is where I posted mine:

Welcome to the TT! :)
Hi there! I’m just another non-leg-shaving girlie who also just did her first Thurday Thirteen (13 Fun Things To Do When You Have Incurable Cancer). Anyway, I just wanted to comment on what you wrote about who will be attending your wedding. I come from a family that is seriously dysfunctional in so-oo-oo many ways that I can’t even begin to go into in one post. For me, the word “family” describes all of those people who care about me and my happiness and those whose happiness is important to me. In my case, those people include a former girlfriend of one of my brothers, my child’s biological father, the wife of one of my cousins, and one of my daughter’s classmates whose mother died a long time ago. It might seem like a motley crew to others but it works for me. The people who come to that wedding of yours are YOUR family even if they are biologically related to your fiance. No matter what your past has been like, you deserve to be happy and I hope that you find this happiness with the family you now belong to.
I hope this hasn’t been too preachy or over-familiar but I just wanted to provide a bit of support as someone who has had to make a life for myself independent of what my biological family wants and does. Feel free to drop by my blog anytime.
Congratulations on the upcoming wedding!!
Excellent site, added to favorites!!
